A leading national wholesale distributor is seeking a dynamic, experienced Key Account Manager to manage and grow major national retail customers. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced FMCG environment, loves building strong customer relationships, and is passionate about sales growth, strategy execution, and excellent account management.
Responsibilities
Managing key national retail accounts, ensuring sales and GP targets are met.
- Building and maintaining strong, long-term customer relationships.
- Conducting regular customer meetings and national store visits.
- Driving category growth, promotions, and new product listings.
- Managing forecasting, planning, stock availability, and promotional execution.
- Preparing accurate monthly reporting, forecasts, and planning documents.
- Participating in bi-annual range reviews and showrooms.
- Identifying and securing new major retail business opportunities.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years' experience in Key Account Management or Sales.
- FMCG or Wholesale/General Merchandise experience is highly advantageous.
- Experience managing national retail chains.
- Advanced Excel skills (non-negotiable).
- Strong communication, planning, forecasting, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to travel nationally as required.
