As a result of an awarded major EPCM project in Namibia, the client is seeking a motivated Materials Controller to join on site project team on 6:2 roster
About the role
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials.
- Ensure stock levels are sufficient to meet project demands without overstocking.
- rack shipments and deliveries to ensure timely arrival on site.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to expedite critical items.
- Oversee the receiving process, including verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders.
- Ensure materials meet required specifications and standards before acceptance.
- Maintain detailed records of material movements, usage, and storage.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports for project managers and stakeholders.
- Work closely with construction, engineering, and procurement teams to align material availability with project schedules.
- Support planning and forecasting of material needs.
- Ensure proper labeling, handling, and storage of materials in accordance with safety and environmental standards.
- Follow site-specific procedures and EPCM contract requirements for materials control.
About you- Hold a Certificate or diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or Business.
- Experience in mining, construction, or industrial projects.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management tools.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in remote or high-pressure environments.
