Our client is seeking skilled x 2 Draughtman (1 Junior and 1 Senior) to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings, supporting production and fabrication processes, and ensuring all designs meet client and quality specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce accurate and detailed customer-specific technical drawings for fabrication and production.
- Prepare drawings from PDFs, sketches, or sample parts provided by customers.
- Ensure all drawings comply with company and industry standards.
- Work closely with sales and production teams to ensure drawings are accurate and feasible.
- Assist in dimensioning and verifying drawings for accuracy prior to production.
- Update and maintain drawing records and design revisions.
- Provide support in developing templates, layouts, and new product concepts.
- Review designs to optimize material usage and improve production efficiency.
- Liaise with clients where necessary to clarify technical requirements.
Requirements and Qualifications:- Grade 12 Certificate (Matric).
- Relevant Draughtsman qualification.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role within the sheet metal or fabrication industry (advantageous).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
- Experience in SigmaNEST advantageous.
- Experience with SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor advantageous.
- Must reside in the East Rand area.
- Must have own reliable transport.
